Hunting: Grosseto, hunters discussing the Hunting Calendar and wild boar hunting in the Province; “Positive proposals for agriculture”.
After the 2014 hunting season, the Federcaccia, the Arci Caccia and the Anuu Migratoristi, hunting associations that have formed the Confederation of Tuscan Hunters, address the problems that are arising for the new 2015/2016 season, Hunting Calendar and minimum number of participants in the jokes of hunting with wild boar. The presidents of the three associations met the president of the Province of Grosseto Emilio Bonifazzi who "proved to be very sensitive to the requests made, so much so that he undertook to bring into discussion in the Provincial Council, shortly, the modification to the Wildlife Plan in order to restore to 18 the daily participants to the jokes of wild boar hunting. Bonifazi, speaking of the hunting calendar, said that there are no specific local peculiarities to deviate from the regional hunting calendar already approved by the Regional Council, which allows, in pre-opening, the hunting of wood pigeon, aquatic, turtledove and blackbird " .
"We are sure that, if accepted, our proposals will have positive effects not only for the hunting world but above all for the agricultural world, which has long demanded the management of the whole territory in programmed hunting and the constant and massive presence of hunters to contain the number of damage to agricultural crops - say Luciano Monaci for Federcaccia, Claudio Sozzi for Arcicaccia and Maurizio Capitini for Anuu Migratoristi -. In particular the number of ungulates and above all the wild boar, which today can only be managed through the constant and widespread commitment of the straplai teams, over 130 in our province ».
"The harnesses, who returning to a minimum number of 18 participants per stroke, would be able to guarantee constant jokes for three days a week, avoiding migrating or even hanging up their rifles, as they are no longer able to sustain costs and heavy trips, far from the places of residence. This would undoubtedly be a defeat for everyone, in a delicate and particular moment, where hunting affects our economy in a heavy way, maintaining the presence in our province of fifteen thousand hunters, of which over five thousand practicing wild boar hunting, all to the advantage. of agritourism restaurants and an activity that contributes to the Maremma economy. We are convinced that the new Provincial Council, made up of mayors who know the problems of the territory well - they conclude -, will be sensitive to our requests ».
