The 7th edition of the event took place on Saturday 8th and Sunday 77th September. Gussago Hunting Fair, at the Casaglio Fraction Sports Center. They participated in the inauguration of the Fair, with the president of the municipal section of Federcaccia Guassago Alfredo Boroni, the provincial president of Federcaccia Brescia Giacomo Lanzini, the regional president of Federcaccia Marco Bruni, the mayor of Gussago Giovanni Coccoli, the regional councilor Carzeri, the MEP Vivaldini and the provincial councilor Mannatrizio. The members of the municipal section of Federcaccia have also organized an event full of activities and events this year.
Dog show
In addition to the usual market exhibition and a convivial moment with the spit, organized by the Gruppo degli Alpini di Gussago, several initiatives took place that saw a rich participation. The work of the first day ended with the night dog show open to all breeds that followed the songbird competition, in which 188 subjects were registered, for different categories: song thrush, redwing, blackbird, skylark, tree pipit, chaffinch and siskin.
Final conference
On Sunday 8 September, the municipal section of Federcaccia Gussago, again during the fair, organised a dog trial without shooting, on partridges released at the quagliodromo in Gussago, during which 50 dogs were judged. An initiative that for those who do not experience hunting and do not know the world of dog breeding, can be underestimated, but for the participants it was an opportunity to make their assistants work with great satisfaction. The closing event was the conference “Hunting, the future that awaits us”, to discuss hunting calendars and receive an update on the problem related to the rings of live decoys. Despite the bad weather, which forced the organizers to move the conference from the beautiful Gussaghesi hills to a dry place, the initiative was able to count on the participation of about 50 hunters, an attentive audience sensitive to these delicate issues, which were addressed on the occasion by the regional councilors Floriano Massardi and Carlo Bravo and the President of the ATC Unico of Brescia Germano Pe (source: FIDC Brescia).
