2026 edition
For the 2026 edition of the great celebration of colors of the Winter Youth Olympic Trench and Skeet Championships The Montecatini Pieve a Nievole (PT) TAV served as the privileged stage for the 246 young specialists (202 Trap and 44 Skeet) from 14 regions who gathered on the Tuscan platforms today, Sunday, March 1st, to elect the Under-21 Champions of the cold season. The event offered one of the most beautiful panoramas in the federal youth calendar, highlighting the enthusiasm, energy, and passion of the youngest clay pigeon shooters. Turning to the results, for the main event, at the end of the two series scheduled for the competition, the title of Junior Men's Winter Champion was won by Andrea Diana (Fiamme Oro) of Frosinone with a perfect score of 50/50. Just one clay behind was Andrea Guidi of Casnigo (BG), who took silver with a score of 49/50, while Cristian Zonetti (Fiamme Oro) of Fara in Sabina (RI) took bronze with a score of 47/50. In the Junior Women's category, Lisa Taccola of Pisa took the title with a score of 43/50, followed by Beatrice Zainotto of Spinea (VE), who took second place with a score of 42/50+1, and Giada Scalvini of Chiari (BS), who took bronze with a score of 42/50+0.
Male students
Among the male students, the Champion title went to Matteo Signori of Valbrenta (VI) with 48/50, leaving behind Remo Bizzoni (Fiamme Oro) of Cisterna (LT), who placed second with 46/50, and Manuel Silvestri of Fara in Sabina (RI), who placed third with 45/50. Among the female students, Giorgia Carducci of Terni took first place on the podium with 38/50, ahead of Gaia Caliari of Monzambano (MN), who took silver with 37/50, and Giulia Zanardini of Pian Camuno (BS), who took bronze with 35/50+1. In the Young Hopes Men's Qualification, top honors went to Leonardo Mallia of Venice with 43/50, followed by Flavio Pollicino of Casteldaccia (PA) in second place with 41/50+1 and Manuel Gravina of Scafati (SA), bronze with 41/50+0+3. For the Young Hopes Women, the best result was signed by Linda Zaina of Porpetto (UD) with 45/50. A round of applause also went to the other two specialists on the podium: Francesca Iorianni of Cascinette d'Ivrea (TO), second with 38/50, and Emma Callegaro Padovan of Correzzola (PD), third with 37/50. Among the Novices, the 2026 Men's Winter Champion was Damiano Maccaglia of Narni (TR) with a score of 44/50, ahead of Andrea Lombardini of Alzano Lombardo (BG) who took silver with a score of 42/50 and Michele Pastura of Orte (VT) in third place with a score of 41/50. Among the Women's Novices, Francesca Beatrice Fadda of Alghero (SS) was crowned Winter Champion with a score of 17/50.
Regional Championship
In the men's Winter Regional Championship, the 2026 Winter Regional Champion title went to Umbria, represented by Thomas Torzoni, Matteo Serangeli, Silvio Tarducci, and Damiano Maccaglia, with a final total of 171/200. This was followed by Lombardy, with Andrea Guidi, Andrea Lombardini, Leonardo Cosma, and Davide Mondini, who took silver with a score of 168/200, and Veneto, a team made up of Matteo Signori, Simone Roncen, Leonardo Mallia, and Riccardo Carraro, who obtained a score of 152/150 and the bronze medal. In the women's skeet event, Lombardy led with Giada Scalvini, Sofia Chiampesan, and Gaia Caliari, scoring 120/150. Piedmont took silver with Alice Garoppo, Valentina Frus, and Francesca Iorianni, scoring 106/150. Emilia Romagna took bronze with Emma Bernabei, Eleonora D'Alfonso, and Angelica Giada Tiziana Antonelli, who scored 98/150. Moving on to the men's skeet event, the gold medal and Winter Champion title went to Michele Manzella (Fiamme Oro) of Manfredonia (FG) with 49/50, ahead of second-place Yari Giandolfi of Fucecchio (FI) with 47/50, and bronze medalist Michele Poeta of Rome with 46/50+6. In the Junior female rankings, Ada Fochesato from Malo (VI) prevailed with 33/50.
Other podiums
In the Junior category, Salvatore Pilurzi Pirina of Arzachena (SS) took first place with a score of 45/50, followed by Gioele Multineddu of Arzachena (SS) with a score of 43/50+2, and Giacomo Breda of Sernaglia della Battaglia (TV) with a bronze score of 43/50+1. Among the Male Rookies, the gold medal went to Edoardo Marchetti of Altopascio (LU) with a score of 43/50, joined on the podium by Lorenzo Giannanti of Ponte Buggianese (PT) with a silver medal of 32/50 and Matteo Marchi of Uzzano (PT) with a bronze score of 31/50. Among the Female Rookies, Erika Cangiano of Baia e Latina (CE) won the title with a score of 38/50. Closing the Skeet event, the title of Winter Champion of the Regions was won by the trio from Campania, Francesco Pio Caporaso, Domenico Diana and Erika Cangiano with 126/150, ahead of the Veneto team Giacomo Breda, Daniel Collet and Ada Fochesato, Vice Champions with 119/150 (source: FITAV).
