The latest sightings
In a video published today by the Federcaccia Office for Wildlife and Agro-Environmental Studies and Research, two broods of pochard (Aythya ferina) which have been sighted in recent days in a valley where hunting is open during the hunting season and where hunters collaborate in the management of water and vegetation.
An example to export
In this context, a close collaboration exists between the Emilia-Romagna Po Delta Regional Park Authority and the hunting community, particularly Federcaccia Ravenna. This is an excellent example worth replicating in other areas.
Wildlife conservation
As FIDC points out, knowledge of the territory and the volunteer work of hunters, combined with the foresight of the Park Authority, allow for action to conserve wildlife and natural habitats.
