Meeting at Palazzo Cesaroni
The Third Committee of the Legislative Assembly of the Umbria Region, chaired by Luca Simonetti, met at Palazzo Cesaroni for Councilor Simona Meloni to present three documents adopted by the Regional Council on March 25: the proposed hunting calendar for selective hunting of wild boar; the proposed hunting calendar for selective hunting of deer and bovids; and the proposed hunting calendar.
No pre-opening
Councilor Meloni explained to the commissioners that "there are no major changes compared to last year. We confirm that no pre-openings are planned, but rather a single opening on September 20th. Furthermore, last year's exemptions are being reinstated. I want to emphasize that all decisions were shared with the hunting councils and the territorial hunting areas."
Next week
At next week's meeting, before expressing its opinion on the three acts, the Commission will hear representatives of hunting, agricultural, and environmental associations, Territorial Hunting Areas number 1, 2, and 3 (source: Umbria Region).
