Respect for deadlines
La Abruzzo region On June 9th, with Regional Government Decision 334 published in Bura No. 100/2026, the hunting calendar for the 2026/27 hunting season was approved. This approval and publication was a significant achievement thanks to the exclusive involvement of Federcaccia, which persistently requested and obtained compliance with the June 15th deadline, as required by national law.
Any appeals
This act will ensure that this year in Abruzzo there will be no interruption to hunting seasons resulting from any suspensions by the Regional Administrative Court (TAR) following appeals by environmental associations or others. This is because the June 15 deadline for the issuance and publication of the Hunting Calendar has been respected, and, thanks to the amendment to Law 157/92, in the event of a precautionary application, Article 119, paragraph 3, of the Administrative Procedure Code, as set out in Annex 1 to Legislative Decree No. 104 of July 2, 2010, applies.
Guaranteed start
If appeals are filed with the Regional Administrative Court (TAR) and the Regional Administrative Court (TAR) grants a precautionary (suspensive) request, until the ruling finalizing the case is published, hunting is permitted within the terms set out in paragraphs 1 and 1-bis, and the harvest limits and daily hours established by each Region with the latest legitimately applied hunting calendar will be reinstated. Therefore, in Abruzzo, hunting will begin this year in compliance with the 2026/27 hunting season. In the event of a suspension by the Regional Administrative Court (TAR), hunting will continue in compliance with the 2025/26 hunting season. In any case, the start of the season is guaranteed.
A few steps forward
Regarding the calendar, unfortunately, we are not yet completely satisfied, as not all of Federcaccia's requests have been met. However, we appreciate some of the progress made by the Region. Naturally, we will not stop there and will request some adjustments underway, which we believe to be technically sound. We extend our thanks to Councilor Emanuele Imprudente for accepting Federcaccia's insistent request to approve the 2026/27 CV by June 15th. We also extend an equally important invitation to the Councilor for a discussion regarding the calendar, which, thanks to Federcaccia's data and experience, can be absolutely perfected.
