Precautionary application
This morning, Tuesday, September 8, 2026, the Milan Regional Administrative Court (TAR) adjourned the hearing of the precautionary petition until November 5, at the request of the appellants, due to the legal requirement to forward the appeal to other hunting associations that were excluded. FIDC Lombardia reminds that the request scheduled for today, which will be discussed on November 5, is a further suspension request, in addition to those already decided in July, and concerns only the hunting of ducks, water rails, and common moorhens during the last 10 days of January.
Legitimate calendar
Should the TAR accept the request, we will certainly appeal to the Council of State: given that the request was submitted after the deadline for submitting an appeal, based on the ruling of the Council of State last August, on the one hand, the regional calendar appears fully legitimate and, on the other, the TAR, if it were to accept the precautionary request, would have to order the Region to apply the periods of Article 18 and the game cards and times of last season's calendar, which is practically identical to the current one.
Supplementary days
In the meantime, the deadline for appealing the July TAR order to the Council of State expired on September 2nd, and therefore the additional hunting days, huntable species, hunting bags, and hunting periods (including those for thrushes and woodcocks) are to be considered definitive for the entire hunting season, with the only – limited – risk for the last ten days of January for "waterfowl".
