Accident report
The Italian Hunting Federation and the other recognized hunting associations Enalcaccia, Arcicaccia, ANLC, ANUUMigratoristi, Italcaccia, and the CNCN – National Hunting and Nature Committee, gathered together in the Control Room of the hunting world, take note of the data disclosed by the University of Urbino in the Report on the detection of victims of theHunting activity 2024-2025.
The statistics in detail
The study – the result of a careful analysis of media coverage of hunting accidents in the period from 1 September 2024 to 30 January 2025 – shows that there were 62 accidents overall, 14 of which were fatal. On an annual basis, 2024 ended with 34 injuries, a decrease of 19 units compared to the previous year, which had counted 53.
Objective: reduce to zero
The Control Room, which has always been active in promoting a hunting culture based on safety, renews with this occasion its commitment to an increasingly careful prevention activity aimed at the sector, increasing the number of courses and training activities aimed at improving the safety conditions of the hunter during hunts. The aim, in fact, remains to reduce the number of accidents to zero. It hopes, with the occasion, that all the actors in the sector will do their part to reach this goal together (source: Fidc).
