Il Regional Administrative Court spoke on the case of a hunter whose license was revoked following the report for an attempted theft. The facts are quite simple to reconstruct: the man was caught in a supermarket trying to steal seven packs of meat and three more of butter. The value of the goods had not been very high, just over 55 €, but the criminal conviction had not been "soft", given that in addition to the fine there had been the revocation of the firearms license for hunting purposes.
The decision had been made by Trento Police Headquarters and the man filed an appeal. The consideration that man has in the community was also fundamental, since he is considered a person by family and work life without problemsFurthermore, in the defense the distraction in paying for the goods was highlighted, very different from theft.
The administrative judges recalled that the issue of the license cannot be associated with any abuse by the holder, consequently the subject must be above suspicion. Not all incidents that have a relevance from a criminal point of view, then, can make sense when judging on the abuse of weapons.
