The Region has also "certified" a state of emergency with an official memo addressed to the Provincial Police to "create permanent teams of selective controllers capable of responding promptly when necessary." This request is "urgent and motivated," the Region says, "by the high number of road accidents and the growing damage to crops."

Hence the initiative of President Camillo D'Angelo, who this morning met with a representative of the wild boar control groups to discuss the issues and ways to improve the control and culling service that, for several years, has been managed by the Vomano and Salinello hunting districts in the province of Teramo. "This opens a window to assess whether the conditions are right for the Province to fully resume one of its historic functions: coordinating wild boar hunting. We need your opinion and input to understand operational procedures, current challenges, and proposed improvements," explained President Camillo D'Angelo, assisted by Provincial Police Commander Pasquale Vittorini and Anna Rita Marcelli, Chief Provincial Inspector who for years oversaw the coordination service for ungulate control, now supported by the Abruzzo Region.

As promised by Commander Vittorini: "The Province must evaluate, with your support, whether we should send a statement of availability to the Region." After a thorough discussion, the President asked for proposals and intentions to be submitted in writing for the next meeting, already scheduled for August 25th at 10:XNUMX a.m.
