The Federcaccia report
“The phenomenon of wolf predation on dogs in our country. Continuously increasing numbers, as certified by the Federcaccia report presented to the Chamber of Deputies, which cites in detail the cases reported between 2022 and 2023. A horrifying list that requires serious reflection on what is happening, in order to intervene in timely manner with a national wolf management plan and the amendment of the national wildlife law updated to 1992.
A measure to be adopted urgently
The League cares about the protection of the well-being of our canine friends and we believe that the time is ripe for our country, which has the highest presence of wolves in Europe, to urgently adopt a measure aimed at rebalancing the presence of this especially through human management.
Pets and companion animals
Let's be clear: no wolf hunting, but a sensitivity towards domestic and companion animals that deserve greater protection from politics." This was declared by Lega deputy Francesco Bruzzone.
