A plant as a gift
On the occasion of World Tree Day, the Hunting Federation of Polaveno (in the province of Brescia), with its President Emanuele Palini, promoted and participated in a meeting with children at the Polaveno primary school, to further educate them on the importance of trees, and donated a sorghum plant to the school. Various activities were held throughout the morning.
The dedication of the students
The plant was illustrated, its benefits in nature explained, and the significance of the bird-trapping exercise was also explained. The children then wrote a dedication and hung it on the tree, sang a song, and read stories and poems.
Great interest
The sorghum tree will be planted in a few days, due to the recent snowfall. The initiative was engaging; the children were very involved and shared the importance of trees. The hunters were also very happy and satisfied, certainly due to the children's interest and the active participation of all the teachers (source: Federcaccia Brescia-Cacciapensieri).
