Hunters and farmers
Thanks to teamwork between hunters from Federcaccia, the Alpini, Coldiretti, and ATC Pianura Bergamasca, the historic spring has been cleared of storm damage and equipped with new feeders and nesting boxes for local wildlife. An oasis of biodiversity which returns to shine, looked after by volunteers and protected by the controls of the Provincial Police.
Pallavicina Tower
Torre Pallavicina is a small, scattered municipality in the province of Bergamo with just over a thousand inhabitants. It is located in the Eastern Plain, bordering two other Lombard provinces: Brescia and Cremona. There is no central core, but the town is comprised of three hamlets: Villanova, Santa Maria, and the old center of Torre.
A historically important place
Historically, Torre Pallavicina can be described as a marshy place, or at least that's how it was described in ancient times. In particular, it is mentioned in the Historia Longobardorum, a work by Paul the Deacon, published no less than 789 AD.
