Prize trip
The Italian team's adventure at the Brno International Grand Prix concluded with a haul of two golds and a bronze , held at the Brno Soběšice Shooting Range, a prize event for the top Trap and Skeet specialists in the 2025 Federal Ranking. Valentina Panza took the top step of the podium in the women's Olympic Trap event, proving herself to be the protagonist of an extraordinary comeback that saw four Italian women compete for medals. The representative of the Carabinieri di Rose (CS), after completing the first three series yesterday with 62/75, a result that at the end of the first day put her far from qualifying for the final, fought back with great determination and completed the qualification round in the remaining 50 clays with 106/125, earning the number 5 bib in the play-off with +1+2.
Podium
In the final, Panza achieved the coveted finish, winning with a score of 28/30 and taking the gold medal. She was followed by Poland's Sandra Bernal, who took the silver medal with a score of 25/30. Rounding out the podium was another Italian athlete, Alessandra Della Valle (Fiamme Oro) from Solaro (MI), who finished third with a score of 20/25 after qualifying with a score of 110/125 and the number 2 number. Italy also narrowly missed out on a fourth medal with Marika Patera, who finished fourth with a score of 16/20. The Italian Navy specialist from Cento (FE), after qualifying with a score of 105/125+1+2, was forced to finish just short of the podium with a score of 105/125. Eighth place went to Guglielmina Chinaglia from Bologna, who finished her competition with a score of 105/125 and 5/10. Giorgia Lenticchia from Terni, tenth with 104/125, and Gaia Ragazzini (Carabinieri) from Lavezzola (RA), eleventh with 103/125, were out of the final.
Other results
In the men's event, victory went to Poland's Tomasz Pasierbski with a score of 29/30, followed by Czech Jiří Lipták, who took silver with a score of 28/30, and Czech Fabio Beccari, who took bronze with a score of 23/25. Alessio Sforzi of Firenzuola (FI) was unfortunate, finishing fourth with scores of 114/125+9 and 15/20. Fifth place went to Fabio Sollami of Caltanissetta (CL), who finished the five qualifying heats with a score of 114/125+8 and the final with a score of 13/15. Giacomo Tarchini of Rome finished sixth with a score of 116/125+3 and 12/15, while Riccardo Mirabile (Fiamme Azzurre) of Rufina (FI) finished seventh with a score of 120/125 and 8/10. Excluded from the top eight positions following qualification were Simone Lorenzo Prosperi (Fiamme Oro) from Artena (RM), ninth with 113/125, and Luca Miotto (Carabinieri) from Salò (BS), twenty-eighth with 101/125.
Test in crescendo
Italy's second gold medal came in the men's skeet event, courtesy of Emanuele Fuso (Esercito) from Spello (PG), who performed exceptionally well. After scoring 71/75 on the first day, Fuso completed the qualification process with a score of 119/125+2, earning a spot in the finals wearing number 7, and then proved to be the better performer with a score of 34/36. Behind him were Czechs Daniel Korčák, who took silver with 31/36, and Jakub Tomeček, who took bronze with 27/32. Francesco Bernardini (Fiamme Oro) from Fara in Sabina (RI) took fourth with scores of 121/125 and 24/28, followed by Andrea Lapucci (Fiamme Oro) from Monsummano Terme (PT) with 119/125+1, finishing fifth with 20/24. Eleventh with 117/125 Cristian Ciccotti (Carabinieri) from Rome, thirteenth with 116/125 Giancarlo Tazza (Fiamme Oro) from Caserta, eighteenth with 112/125 Andrea Galardini (Fiamme Oro) from Calenzano (FI).

In the women's event, Slovakian Vanesa Hocková took first place with a score of 33/36, followed by her compatriot Lucia Kopčanová with a score of 29/36+2, while the bronze medal went to Czech Barbora Šumová with a score of 26/32. The best Italian finisher was Giada Longhi (Fiamme Oro) of Longone Sabino (RI), who qualified for the final with number 8 and scored 110/125+3, then finished fifth with a score of 20/24. Damiana Paolacci (Fiamme Oro) of Rome finished seventh, having been eliminated in the first qualifying round after scoring 113/125 in qualifying and 8/10 in the final. Claudia Fortunati from Rome placed eleventh with 107/125+1, while Valentina Sansone from Arzachena (OT) finished her test in fourteenth place with 103/125 (source: FITAV).
