The Double Trap Italian Joint Forces Championship hosted on the Mimbelli Navy ship gave the home team the victory of the Italian Team Title.
September 16, 2011 - The Italian Joint Forces Double Trap Championship, hosted by the "Francesco Mimbelli" naval unit of the Italian Navy moored at the new Naval Base of Taranto, was completed, in which 67 shooters belonging to all the Sports Groups of the Armed Forces and State Corps.
To win the Tricolore in the ranking reserved for Excellence category shooters is Prima was Simone Camerini from Pontassieve (FI), representative of the Carabinieri Sports Group, who won with the score of 138/150 +4, winning gold at the shoot-off with Nico Bizzoni from Cisterna di Latina, member of the Air Force Sports Group, silver with 138 +3.
In third place was classified Antonino Barillà of Villa San Giuseppe (RC), under the Sporting Group of the Navy, bronze with 137. As for the other categories and qualification, the title of Italian Champion of the Second category went to Simone Bo of Acqui Terme (AL) with 136/150, that of Third Category to Antonio Albano (Marina Militare) of Lizzano (TA) with 128/150, that of Retired Personnel to Cosimo Prontera of Maglie (LE) with 91, that in the ranking of the Boys of Abruzzo to Antonio Michael Torsello of Surbo (LE) with 68/120 +3 and that of the Ladies to Maria Cristina Mantineo of Rome with 48.
As for the ranking reserved for the teams, the 2011 Tricolore was the prerogative of the hosts of the Italian Navy composed of Ferdinando Rossi di Montefalco (PG), Alessandro Chianese di Casandrino (NA) and the aforementioned Antonino Barillà, who passed all contenders with 304/360.
