Eradication of swine fever
Il Aurunci Mountains Natural Park informs that, with Regional Decision No. 500 of November 7, 2025, the Public Notice for the launch of a training course for wild boar control plan assistants was approved. The initiative, envisaged as part of the Regional Plan of Urgent Interventions for the Management, Control, and Eradication of African Swine Fever (PRIU 2025–2029), is aimed at training personnel external to the Park Authority in wild boar control activities, in compliance with regional directives and ISPRA guidelines.
The course in detail
Applications for registration can be submitted from 10 to 21 November 2025 exclusively via certified email to the address [email protected] Using the form available on the institutional website. The course, open to a maximum of 50 participants, consists of three lectures for a total of 9 hours and a final exam consisting of a written and an oral test. Passing the exams will award the qualification of "coadjutor for wild boar control plans in the Monti Aurunci Natural Park" and registration in the Register of Authorized Persons established by the Authority.
Wildlife management
The participation fee is €30, to be paid via PagoPA. The Park Authority reiterates that sustainable wildlife management and the reduction of wild boar populations are essential for protecting the ecological balance, safeguarding biodiversity, and reducing damage to agricultural crops.
