Hunting: Lazio, the councilor for hunting, Sonia Ricci, meets the Territorial Areas of Hunting and the Hunting Associations.The Department of Agriculture, Hunting e Pesca of the Lazio Region has launched a listening campaign with the main protagonists of the protection and development of the territories, to build together a management plan for agricultural activities and the regional wildlife heritage.
In this first phase, the major hunting associations and the Territorial Hunting Areas (ATC) of all the provincial territories were convened. In these first 2 years of government in agriculture in the region we have worked a lot, especially for the new rural development programming and today we are ready to share a shared project together with the ATCs and hunting associations? declared the regional councilor for agriculture, hunting and fishing, Sonia Ricci.
The reform of the provincial functions introduced by the Del Rio law - added Ricci - makes the work we have started to make the role of ATCs and the hunting world more effective and efficient, important tools for the protection and growth of the territories. Our commitment is to arrive as soon as possible to implement the necessary actions on important issues concerning: the right to carry out hunting activities, compatibly with the protection of biodiversity and the environment as required by national law 157; the management of damage caused by wildlife; the adoption of the regional wildlife plan for the protection of the fauna and hunting.
I am sure - concluded Ricci - that we will also arrive with the hunting associations to formulate a good and profitable planning, also in view of the necessary reorganization of the competences for the regulation of hunting. The commitment on the part of the Region is strong, also testified by the punctuality, compared to the other regions, with which we published the Hunting Calendar of the next season.
The representatives and technicians present at the meetings were very satisfied and expressed their commitment to carry out a plan of work proposals in a coordinated way together with the regional institution.
