Hunting: Lazio, the new hunting calendar valid for the season of hunting 2015-2016 which will officially open on 20 September.
"The hunting season in Lazio will open on 20 September and will end on 31 January 2016. This is established by the new Hunting Calendar 2015/2016 by decree of the President of the Lazio Region, Nicola Zingaretti, in compliance with the Community and national regulatory provisions.
In detail, from September 20th to October 31st, hunting of quail and quail will be allowed turtledove; that with wild rabbit, pheasant and blackbird from 20 September to 31 December (in the wildlife-hunting farms the pheasant will be huntable until 31 January); teal, snipe, gadwall, pintail, wigeon, coot, whisk, moorhen, mallard, gargane, shoveler, pochard, lapwing, water rail and fox will be huntable from 20 September to 31 January while the European hare until 6 December; skylark from 1 October to 31 December; woodcock, cesena, song thrush and stone thrush from 1 October to 20 January; wood pigeon, hooded crow, magpie, jay from 1 October to 31 January and partridge from 1 October to 30 November.
Il boarinstead, it will be possible to hunt from November 1st to January 31st with a game bag of two animals. As for thetraining and training of dogs it is allowed without the possibility of shooting from 30 August to 17 September, while in the SPAs from 2 September.
The Region also announces that the regulation of the past season is reconfirmed, following the assessments agreed by the structures of the Department of Agriculture, Hunting and Fishing together with those of the Department of the Environment, as well as the work carried out with the representatives of the Regional wildlife hunting technical committee, made up of hunting associations and environmental associations, agricultural professional organizations and representatives of the provinces.
The opinion of the Higher Institute for Environmental Protection and Research (ISPRA) was also considered. Also recognized by the Lazio Region, following the acquisition of the binding opinion of ISPRA, the postponement of the closure of the hunt to 10 February limited to the wood pigeon, hooded crow, magpie and jay species, with the hunting modalities from stalking (fixed and temporary) without the help of the dog.
The main novelty of this year is the entry into operation of the new optical reading regional card, distributed last year on an experimental basis. This is a very important tool for facilitating the collection and reading of data by the information system of the Wildlife Observatory, useful for improving the management of fauna and the environment and optimizing the planning of future hunting seasons ".
