Leica binoculars: Leica still amazes by presenting the Geovid 15 × 56 HD and 8 × 56 HD binoculars, with built-in rangefinder, with which the distance between the hunter and the target is observed and measured, up to a maximum of 1300 meters.
Leica was the first optical company in the world to combine high-performance binoculars and a laser rangefinder into one particularly compact binocular. These binoculars also offer the user the possibility to switch to a scanning mode that allows continuous tracking of a moving object with the telemetry function.
We are talking about the new Leica Geovid binoculars, 8 × 56 HD and 15 x 56 HD versions. With the Geovid it is possible to have the internal focusing screw adjusted and waterproof up to 5 m depth. As we know, binoculars are used not only in hunting for post hunting, in twilight or night vigils, at hunting venues, but also in normal life.
The binoculars of the most famous manufacturers are distinguished by the materials they are made of, the resolution and sharpness of the images and the impact resistance. With the Leica Geovid, this goes beyond that, as it represents a combination of high-brightness night optics with eight magnifications and an integrated distance meter.
With the Geovid HD, a new phase is clearly opening up in terms of color brilliance and definition. In fact, by activating the rangefinder, a small square appears with which the aim is realized, with the number below that indicates the distance from the object up to 1300 m. These binoculars find their complete application in mountain hunting, when it is necessary to know the exact distance that separates the hunter from the target placed very far away. Visibility and lightness are the two qualities of the Leica Geovid 8 × 56 HD.
This binocular, available in both 8 x 56 HD and 15 x 56 HD versions, thanks to its 56 mm lenses is optimized for observation at dusk and in low light conditions. This allows viewing with extremely rich contrast, neutral colors and sharpness over the entire field of view. The Geovid allows you to enter a new dimension of vision and identification of the smallest details, even and above all at long distances.
The Leica Geovid, with the supplied ergonomic neoprene strap and battery for the exposure meter, weighs just 1190 g. The main differences between the two versions are the following: the Geovid 8 x 56 HD has a 7 mm pupillary output to obtain more stable images with less oscillations thanks to the 8x magnification.
Only 182 mm long, the Geovid 8 x 56 HD has been expressly designed for hunting on roof terraces. The Geovid 15 x 56 HD, on the other hand, allows 15x magnification for the identification of animals at long distances. Weighing in at 1.300g, it is ideal for long distance observation and bench rest practice. Both models are available with a shockproof black rubber coating.
Leica again marks a new course in precision optics and binoculars, bringing the best technology into its products, with which the observation of the environment is practically complete in all its aspects.
