Hunting in Liguria: the Government challenges the Regional Law on hunting for the part concerning the choice of hunting days; gloating environmentalists who speak of "Yet another fool for the Region".
Yesterday the Government, following the complaint of the environmentalists, decided to challenge the Regional Law on hunting in Liguria in the part in which it provides that the three weekly hunting days available to hunters are perpetually chosen. In fact, the environmentalists explain that "The state hunting law 157/92 provides that only from year to year, and only by administrative resolution, it is possible to establish whether the three weekly hunting days are fixed or at the free choice of the hunter".
Obvious exultation of the environmentalists therefore for the decision of the Government, we read in fact in a note from the WWF and the Lac that "This is yet another fool in the field of hunting by the Liguria Region, and in particular the current majority, which had moreover married some theses of a bill of the opposition group of the Northern League ".
Continuing, the environmentalists further explain that "The theses of a timely statement of 14 August 2012 by the WWF and Lega Abolizione Caccia associations were accepted, aimed at preventing hunters illegally having more chances by being able to choose between days with weather and migratory transit situations. to them most favorable. Other regions establish fixed weekly hunting days ”.
Waiting for the ruling of the Constitutional Court on the matter, the environmentalists recall that "currently until 30 September the hunting of thrushes and some species of sedentary fauna (hare, partridge, pheasant, red partridge), as well as the possibility of hunting for the fourth and fifth day of the week in place of the canonical three, the Liguria Regional Administrative Court of 17 September last year was suspended in Liguria due to a precautionary decree of the President, which will be reviewed in the collegiate office on 16 October next ".
