Hunting: Liguria, the Regional Council approved the draft law relating to the regulations governing hunting activities.
The “save-hunting” law presented by Francesco Bruzzone has been approved by the Regional Council. This morning, the Ligurian assembly gave its approval to the bill, presented by the Regional Councilor of the Lega Nord Bruzzone, which integrates the dictates of the regional rule n.29 / 1994 transposing the national law 11 February n. 157 (Rules for the protection of wildlife and for hunting), introducing "the principle according to which, in the event of the absence or suspension of the administrative act with which the Hunting Calendar is annually issued, the hunting it continues without interruption according to the dictates of the regional and national laws on the subject ”. With 23 votes in favor, and 2 abstentions (Manti from the Democratic Party and Siri from the Civic List for Biasotti as President), the proposed law “Amendments to regional law no. 1 (Regional regulations for the protection of homeothermic fauna and for hunting), on the initiative of the councilors Francesco Bruzzone, Maurizio Torterolo, Edoardo Rixi (Northern Liguria-Padania League). The provision integrates law 1994, establishing that, in the event of lack or suspension of the Hunting Calendar, issued annually, the hunting activity continues without interruption, according to the indications of the regional and national laws on the subject.
The regional law has been declared urgent and will enter into force the day after its publication in the Official Bulletin of the Region. Satisfied with the approval of his provision, Bruzzone declares: “Finally the Ligurian hunters have the certainty of the law, and once the hunt is open, it cannot be interrupted. With this law, the bad experiences of last year become just a memory. I believe that it is right and correct to comply with the judgments on the merits of the administrative judiciary, absolutely avoiding any type of instrumental use of appeals and suspensions that are harmful to acquired rights. I never wanted to give up on this and today we did it. In this regard, I thank all the Ligurian hunters who supported me and believed in my battle ”.
The resolution proposal “Further integration to the board resolution of 8 April 2014, no. 11 (Regional hunting calendar) ”which establishes the daily game bag for the wood pigeon, fox and wild rabbit species, thus incorporating the observations already made by the TAR. The decision taken, anticipated in Ispra, was favorably received by the Higher Institute for Environmental Protection and Research. According to the resolution, therefore, the maximum number of wood pigeons that can be hunted per day is set at 15, that of foxes at 1 and wild rabbits at 2. The law also provides for the possibility of hunting, as regards the implementation of hunting for ungulate selection, even on snow-covered grounds.
Marco Melgrati (FI) underlined that the passing of the law was possible, in the steps in committee, by virtue of the votes of the minority. Ezio Chiesa (Mixed Group-Liguria Viva) pointed out that he had voted in favor of the text in the committee. Valter Ferrando (Pd) highlighted: "We are very convinced of this bill" and explained that the abstention in a passage in the committee was determined by the need for an in-depth examination with the offices.
Francesco Bruzzone (Lega Nord Liguria-Padania), first signatory of the provision aimed at preventing stopping the hunting activity, spoke in the courtroom only regarding the proposed resolution, noting that it is an adjustment aimed at incorporating the observations made by the TAR.
