Cacciatori Lombardi on the changes made to Law 157/92 with a Government Decree Law, “a project to eliminate hunting from stalking”.
After the recent amendments to 157/92 by government decree we doubt there is a plan to end stalking. One by one, the maneuvers to limit hunting from stalking are manifesting themselves in an impressive sequence. We therefore doubt that a detailed project is underway to put an end to stalking hunting. What should worry Italian hunters and even more their national presidents adhering to FACE, is the grip that gradually tightens more and more on hunting in order to make those who practice it give up. What we stand for as UCL is in fact and is meant to be a wake-up call to what's happening. Time 2/3 years if we do not react, we will count on it, we will see how many we will be left and which forms of hunting have managed to survive. We do not want to passively witness the agony of traditional hunts, which are centuries-old forms of hunting and not the victims designated by those who would like to reduce us, like the American Indians, to the Reserves. We must prevent the "genocide" of the shed owners, a prelude to the end of the hunting art in our country.
We propose to immediately open a discussion table with the Government on hunting, the need to take action after 22 years, to modify the law 157/92 in order to harmonize it with Europe, rather than undergo its diktats or sanctions, is urgent. We can no longer afford wait-and-see attitudes, delaying and rearguard policies, those policies that have brought us from a million and a half practitioners to just under half.
The Lombard Hunters Union appeals to those who really care about hunting and in particular to all the Hunting Associations, recognized and not, to team up and in a unified way ask the competent Ministers for a meeting that starts the harmonization of the 157/92, a change of pace without which we would all suffer the consequences. Let everyone do their duty at any cost.
