The Lombard Hunters Union addresses its appeal to the Lombardy Region aimed at saving rocks and live calls and consequently the induced work that orbits around the hunting world.
The 5 Star Movement is adopting an action hostile to the passion for hunting through the presentation at the level of Parliament and of the Lombardy region concerning changes to FRAMEWORK LAW 157/92 AND REGIONAL LAW 26/93 and in particular modification of Article 19 / bis of 157 aimed at prohibiting the derogation on the opening of capture facilities (roccoli) as well as the use of live calls and hindering the hunting procedure in derogation of small migratory game. In acknowledging that the 5 Star Movement seems to "care about the hunt" ignoring the real emergency of the country which is work and youth unemployment, which in their opinion would be resolved with citizenship income, we underline, as expressed several times, that behind the hunt there are tens of thousands of jobs and millions of euros devolved to the state without a counterpart. In the Lombardy Region, specifically in the Valtrompia, there is the most important arms manufacturing district in Europe, a true world excellence, an unparalleled heritage with an export percentage of over 80%.
Faced with this attack by the 5 Star Movement, the UCL appeals both at the Government and Parliamentary level, and at the level of the Lombardy Region, to square around these proposals which are a photocopy of those presented at European level and rejected, sent back to the sender by the vote against them by the overwhelming majority of MEPs. We trust in the Presidency, the Executive Committee and in the majority and minority forces who recognize themselves in the values and traditions, as well as in the excellence of Lombardy, to address the issue from an objective and not ideological point of view, putting an end to initiatives that divert the attention from the real emergencies existing in the country and in the Lombardy Region.
