Space for appeals and counter-appeals
Il hunting calendar 2026/27, approved very early, and we can only be pleased about this because it leaves room for appeals and counter-appeals without the pressure of the imminent reopening, as far as our Province is concerned, it is almost similar to last year's. Some changes can be noted with regard to the reintroduction of the lapwing species as huntable, albeit with restrictions, and woodcock hunting until January 31st in a single ATC, throughout the entire province, in January on Saturdays and Sundays until 13 pm.
Game Players
The redwing's bag limit has been set at 200 birds per year, and two additional weekly fixed-watch days have been introduced in October and November for both thrushes and waterfowl. The general opening hours are confirmed on the third Sunday of September and the closing date is January 31st, including redwings, fieldfares, ducks, and rails.
Scientific considerations
In short, a calendar perfectly aligned with national law 157/92 and regional law 26/93. The scientific considerations presented and approved simultaneously by the Lombardy Region as a corollary to the resolution on the calendar are extremely interesting, aimed at explaining the deviations from the opinion received from ISPRA, a source of considerable study and commitment for the regional offices (source: Fidc Brescia – Cacciapensieri).
