Request for suspension
The Council of State, in the hearing of 1 December 2025, was called to define the issue of appeals against the decisions of the TAR of Lombardy regarding the identification of the famous 475 crossings carried out in May 2025. In the meantime, to this request to suspend the effects of the TAR ruling of the Lombardy Region, in that case supported by many Lombardy Hunting Associations, has been added the request from LAC exactly opposite to ask not to suspend the effectiveness of the TAR ruling of May.
National law
The Council of State had not suspended the effectiveness of the TAR ruling and had postponed it until a ruling on the merits, which was now due in early December. It must be said that in the meantime, amid all this back-and-forth, national policy intervened, thankfully, first by amending national law 157/92 and then by regional policy, thankfully, by amending law 26/93, thus allowing hunting again at almost all of the border crossings identified by ISPRA and incorporated into the TAR ruling.
The demands of the anti-everything
Now, on December 1st, the Council of State suspended its decision, postponing it until the Regional Administrative Court of Lombardy has considered the merits of the various appeals filed against it. This ruling is expected around mid-January 2026. Perhaps we're making it simple, but this entire matter seems to have been superseded by the legislative changes that have occurred in the meantime. We are convinced of this, and we hope the various courts will also be convinced of this. For too long, they have resorted to rulings, effectively impeding our legitimate activity, in response to the demands of those who oppose everything (source: FIDC Brescia-Cacciapensieri).
