Hunting: Lombardy, the Region gives green light to the capture of live calls, and to the opening of the rocks for the 2014-2015 Hunting Season.
The Lombardy Regional Council has approved, on the proposal of the Councilor for Agriculture Gianni Fava, the opening of the roccoli for the 2014-2015 season. Ispra, the Higher Institute for Environmental Protection and Research, has expressed a favorable opinion on the request of the Lombardy Region to adopt some derogating measures, including that relating to the capture of wild birds for sale for the purpose of recall in hunting. to migration. SUPPORTING ROOTED VENATORY ACTIVITIES - “The derogation proposed by the Lombardy Region - observed the commissioner Fava - aims to support the continuation of a significantly widespread and deeply rooted hunting activity in the provinces. Plants and methods of capture are in fact deeply inserted in the secular uses of the Lombard populations and are functional to the maintenance of a hunt, consolidated in the tradition of our region. It should also be remembered that the roccoli, typical capture plants of Northern Italy, with the particular plant architecture that characterizes them, represent a peculiarity of the Lombard rural landscape of high environmental value ".
