Implementation of the sentence
With DCR n. 854 of 20 May 2025 the Regional Council of Lombardy implemented the TAR ruling n. 1516 of 2 May 2025, placing, with immediate effect, a ban on hunting on 475 mountain passes affected by the migration routes of birds, for a distance of one thousand metres from the same, as per Annexes A and B, integral and substantial parts of the aforementioned Resolution.
Effective immediately
It is considered appropriate to highlight that the ban, in the areas concerned, takes effect immediately and concerns all hunting activities, including, therefore, dog training and instruction permitted from thirty days prior to the start of the hunting season and for its entire duration.
Other activities
The following activities are excluded, without prejudice to different prohibitions or limitations from different sources (such as, for example, Management Plans and safeguarding regulations for Natura 2000 sites), as they cannot be assimilated to hunting: training and instruction of dogs and dog competitions and trials in the areas established for this purpose pursuant to art. 21 of regional law 26/93; wildlife censuses and monitoring; control of wild fauna pursuant to art. 41 of regional law 26/93.
