Implementation of the sentence
With Regional Council Resolution No. 854 of May 20, 2025, the Lombardy Regional Council implemented the Regional Administrative Court (TAR) ruling No. 1516 of May 2, 2025, placing, with immediate effect, a hunting ban on the 475 mountain passes affected by bird migration routes, within a distance of one thousand meters from the same, as listed in Annexes A and B, which are integral and substantial parts of the aforementioned Resolution.
Effective immediately
It is considered appropriate to highlight that the ban, in the areas concerned, takes effect immediately and concerns all hunting activities, including, therefore, dog training and instruction permitted from thirty days prior to the start of the hunting season and for its entire duration.
Other activities
The following activities are excluded, unless otherwise prohibited or restricted by other sources (such as, for example, management plans and protection regulations for Natura 2000 sites), as they cannot be considered hunting: dog training and training, dog competitions and trials in the designated areas pursuant to art. 21 of Regional Law 26/93, wildlife censuses and monitoring, and wildlife control pursuant to art. 41 of Regional Law 26/93.
