Hunting Law Amendments
"The Council of Ministers meeting today deemed our amendments approved to the Lombardy hunting law in the Council meeting last July to be legitimate, without therefore challenging them". This was announced by the Councillor of Fratelli d'Italia and Vice President of the Agriculture Commission of the Lombardy Region Charles Bravo.
The changes in detail
“The changes” – the Councillor recalls – “concern:
the exclusivity of the veterinarians of the territorially competent ATS to handle live decoys during the ring verification operations;
the possibility for hunting associations or for the management committees of the ATC or of the Alpine districts to manage the protection oases;
the acquisition of membership permanence for the new hunter in the Alpine hunting area or district of the hunter who accompanies him during the first year, regardless of the father-son kinship relationship;
the possibility of authorising a fixed post in the Alpine area, subject to a reasoned opinion from the Alpine district regarding the certified presence of Alpine galliforms and ungulates in the previous three years;
the possibility that birds injured during hunting, whose injury is certified by a veterinarian, can then be healed by the hunter and used as live decoys during hunting;
the completion of the ungulate collection plans also outside the Alpine area in the case of areas covered by snow.”
Attentive and constant dialogue
Councilor Bravo concludes: “An important result for all Lombard hunters, the fruit of careful and constant dialogue with party colleagues in the competent Ministries, whom I thank.”
