The sixteenth edition of "Hunting, Fishing & Nature", the national fair of products, equipment and services for hunting and sport fishing that comes organized every year in Longarone (province of Belluno). It is one of the most popular hunting events in our country. The exhibition complex of the Venetian municipality will host the three-day event in which the main companies that produce rifles and weapons, but also those active in hunting clothing and much more will participate. During the last edition, that of 2015, the traditional "Hunter's Festival" celebrated its twenty years of life, one of the main moments of the entire event as the institutions, sector associations and mountain hunting districts meet and compare.
The exhibitions also concern sport fishing, with team and individual competitions. The organization of the event is managed byItalian Taxidermists Association and also in this sixteenth edition there will be the National Competition of category (now in its 14th year): there will be two divisions, namely the one destined to novices (trainers with less than five years of experience) and ai professionals (trainers by profession or in any case with more than five years of experience).
In addition to a seminar on the basic preparation of a bird, skinning, skiving and tanning, there will be space to deepen the techniques of coloring with the airbrush and of course the final award ceremony. The Longarone exhibition center is therefore confirmed as a very important point of reference for what concerns the whole world of taxidermy and for the hunting sector in general. On the other hand, we are talking about the seat that is naturally more predisposed for the mountain hunting, a subject that has always fascinated hunters, also because it is something different from the usual, as well as a beautiful and authentic experience.
Those who participated in the last edition had the opportunity to learn about the prerogatives of the activities carried out by the so-called "poison dogs", a group of canine units set up by the Veneto Region, without forgetting discussions on the age assessment problems of ungulates, a classic theme when it comes to mountain hunting and which cannot be missing even this year in light of the latest controversies. Great protagonists will also be the tastings of typical dishes based on game, with the hunters who will organize the various stands: the three days will be dedicated to the exchange of hunting experiences and the choice of eventual group outings.
