The Mauser is synonymous with robust, reliable and precise weapons.
The Mauser M03 Extreme bolt action rifle is one of the flagship products of the German company, as it combines an unprecedented grip of the weapon, a very fast repetition of the shot and the possibility of mounting optics in a lower position.
Mauser-Werke Oberndorf Waffensysteme GmbH is a German manufacturer of bolt-action hunting rifles. It was founded by the brothers Wilhelm and Paul Mauser in 1872 in Oberndorf in Germany.
Immediately, the company gained great esteem thanks to the great quality of its products, the latter used first by Prussia and then by Nazi Germany. Mauser products have been exported all over the world and have often been used as the basis for the development of many other bolt-action rifle models. Mauser has also ventured into the production of both drum and semi-automatic short firearms: among the latter the famous broomhandle "broomstick" for the shape of the stock and the typical tank placed in front of the trigger, capable of firing in bursts.
After the Second World War, the factory in Oberndorf was completely dismantled by the occupying forces as it had collaborated with Nazi Germany and many of its projects were destroyed. However, some engineers, including Edmund Heckler, Theodor Koch and Alex Seidel, decided to save what they could and founded Heckler und Koch. Mauser was then re-founded and still produces today mainly hunting and safari rifles. Since 1993, Mauser has been part of the Rheinmetall group.
The Mauser brand is synonymous with robustness, reliability and precision. These three elements are joined together in a single weapon, the Mauser M03 Extreme semi-automatic rifle. This weapon adopts a synthetic stock in very high resistance polymers, which allows the hunter to obtain an ultra secure grip since it is non-slip. In any weather condition, rain or heat, you will feel the same feeling of safety when holding this rifle.
For the Mauser M03 Extreme, the technicians have thought well to install in addition to the two usual sling t-shirts, also a third attachment point for those who want to mount a possible biped.
The key feature of this rifle, however, consists in the bolt with six frontal closing tenons, the latter placed on two series of three, placed at 120 degrees. This choice allows an angle of action of the shutter of only 60 °, with the positive consequence that it will be possible to have a faster repetition of the shot and optics mounted in a lower position.
The shutter structure proposes a prismatic section, and manages to free itself from the action only by lowering the retainer placed on the rear left side of the castle.
The nail-shaped extractor is installed on one of the front flaps, with the pin ejector placed on the shutter face.
The barrel, 65 cm long, is secured to the action by two very sturdy threaded bushings equipped with special Sieger captive rings, able to withstand the blows in an almost natural way. In countries where it is allowed (not in Italy) this system allows a very easy replacement of the caliber by alternating barrel and bolt head. The removable and two-wire tank can accommodate 5 cartridges. The M03 Extreme with its high quality steel constitutes a shotgun that is able to face any weather condition, to withstand extreme heat, cold or humidity. The dark gray color of the synthetic stock gives the weapon an even more robust appearance. The M 03 Extreme, also available in Africa, Solid and Match variants, is a top quality bolt-action rifle, capable of ensuring a secure grip and extreme precision.
