This is the text of a post published by the Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry, Francesco Lollobrigida on his Facebook page: “The law must be clear so that magistrates can apply it and are not forced to interpret it.”
An appropriate solution
“This year too, albeit with less favorable outcomes for them, some associations with instrumental appeals are in fact preventing the regular performance of hunting activities in some regions, unfortunately, at times, thanks to a part of the state bureaucracy. We have worked in these two years together with the regions and the sector associations to find an appropriate solution, given the current regulatory system. Apparently it has not been enough. We take note of this and within the year we will definitively address the issue. Respect for Italian and European rules is always important for everyone and hunting activity is protected and must be able to be carried out regularly”.
Artificial processes
"Let those who think they can impose their choices on others violently or with artificial processes rest easy. We have achieved a series of positive results that we claim in this important sector. Many, after years in government, today say they would have done better and more. On the contrary, they have allowed us to arrive at a situation that requires double the work to be recovered and brought back into line with other European nations. We are not afraid of commitment and we know that the accounts are always done at the end".
