A new bitter sentence
The disappointment with the TAR's choices regarding hunting extends to Molise. The administrative judges of this region, in fact, accepted the appeal presented by various animal rights and environmental associations against the hunting calendar for the 2023-2024 season. It is worth remembering that this text was approved by the regional council last August 14th.
Disputed period and species
The associations are the WWF, LIPU, LAV and LNDC. The Molise calendar has been suspended in relation to the period 17-30 September 2023 chosen for the hunting harvest of doves, quails, pheasants, foxes and hares. The reason for the sentence is to be found in the contrast between the Region's decisions on hunting periods and the data provided by ISPRA (Higher Institute for Environmental Protection and Research).
The next moves
The next hearing will take place on 23 October, although in the next few days the governor of Molise Francesco Roberti will discuss with the Territorial Hunting Areas and the hunting associations precisely to try to overcome the main current problems of regional hunting activity.
