The discovery of the Carabinieri
The Forestry Carabinieri were forced to intervene Novara to report a farmer at liberty with very precise and serious charges: killing of animals cruelly and without necessity, illegal carrying of weapons and hunting theft. The episode occurred in Agrate Conturbia, south of Lake Maggiore, with the military coming across 80 ungulates killed and found in the area.
The carcasses found on the ground
It was a real massacre: the man killed fallow deer and deer without using the meat or making trophies of it, simply leaving the carcasses on the ground. Therefore the report was inevitable due to the wild animals found in an agricultural area that was too limited.
The house search
Tracing the perpetrator of the killings was not difficult. The suspect is a local farmer who was found not to have a hunting license following a search of his home. The extraction of the ammunition from the carcasses was decisive, which allowed the responsible weapon to be identified with certainty.
