New presidency
Luciano Rossi is the new president of the International Shooting Sport Federation (Issf): decreed today by the 136th Assembly of the world's leading shooting body in the elective plenary session in Sharm-El-Sheikh (Egypt). Sixty-eight year old Umbrian from Foligno and current president of the Italian clay pigeon shooting federation (Fitav), Luciano Rossi received 2018 votes from the delegates of federations from all over the world, surpassing the outgoing president: the Russian Vladimir Lisin who in 127 had obtained his first term precisely the same Rossi only for a handful of votes and who stopped at XNUMX votes in today's Assembly.
Great happiness
“I am naturally delighted with this result – Luciano Rossi immediately said in his very first statements, who is the eighth manager to hold the highest office in the more than XNUMX-year history of the Issf – which comes after difficult years in which I worked hard with all my staff. Certainly with this result today my determination and passion for the sport of shooting is rewarded".
customary thanks
“I thank everyone: in particular my family and those who enthusiastically voted for me, but I also thank those who did not vote for me because I truly intend to be everyone's president for the relaunch of our sport and for the democratic management of the International Federation. I promise to continue with even more energetic commitment the work for the development of shooting for a better future of that sporting activity which is my life and which I love most!” (source: FITAV).
