Weekend Coming Soon
The week has just begun, but the attention of all specialists of Olympic pit is already focused on next weekend. The reason is simple: on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd September the 2024 Italian Champion Titles will be awarded for all Categories and Ladies and Junior Qualifications. For what is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated events of the competitive season, over 800 shooters are preparing, both male and female, who have earned access to the coveted National Final.
The platforms involved
The spotlight will be on the platforms of the Tav Giorgio Rosatti in Ponso (PD) which will welcome the 75 Excellence qualifiers, the 25 Ladies, the 60 Junior Males and the 21 Junior Females who have punched their ticket to try to chase the 2024 Scudetto. Most of the shooters will gather in the facility from mid-week to test the throws which, as indicated by the National Technical Director Marco Conti, will follow the patterns 4,5,3,7 and 9.
Scudetto up for grabs
The Tav Roma is already ready to welcome the 192 First Category shooters who, instead, will compete with the launches of the Capitoline facility set on scheme 2. The OS Academy of Battuda (PV) will host the 221 qualified for the Second Category who, also in this case, will compete with scheme 2. Last but not least, the Tav Fano (PU) will be the stage for the Final of the Third Category Italian Championship. The 208 qualified will do their best competing with scheme 2 to try to grab the Scudetto up for grabs (source: FITAV).
