The letter to Pichetto Fratin
Below is the text of the letter sent by the Honorable Member Francesco Bruzzone to Gilberto Pichetto Fratin, Minister of the Environment, regarding ISPRA's failure to comply with ruling 982 of 2024 of the Council of State.
No justification
Here are the details: “Some Italian regions have asked ISPRA to comment on the identification of the small quantity to be able to apply the hunting levy in derogation. Following a long legal dispute, the Council of State ruled that ISPRA's unavailability to provide the small quantities cannot be justified and determined that this Institute should provide the data, as it could not refuse to apply the interpretative guide of the community directive" .
Inadmissible position
The request continues: "Given the timing, which is also explicitly referred to by State law, I ask for your immediate intervention, as you are the competent person in this regard, so that this insistent and inadmissible position of ISPRA can be remedied, if necessary also through a specific commissioner. I am sure of his belief that the Institute, in addition to respecting the rules and sentences, must be a scientific and not political entity."
