The 81-year-old man who disappeared from Apecchio, in the province of Pesaro e Urbino and for whose searches were mobilized the police, firefighters and even a helicopter was found safe and sound in a rural area of Ca'Rio in the municipality of Cagli, somewhere else where the research was concentrated.
To find him a hunter, Paolo Santi, member of the boar hunting team 57, who immediately activated to provide first aid and have the man transported to safety. “Once again thanks to a hunter a missing person has been found and a bad story that could end in tragedy instead it ended happily ”says the regional president of Federcaccia Marche Paolo Antonioni.
"In my name and in the name of the Federation I represent, I want to thank the protagonist of the story and all the hunters who in various ways are always ready to lend their selfless help when there is a need to move around the area, especially in wooded and normally little traveled areas, unknown even to the police and rescuers. When someone asks what sense hunters have and complains about theirs presence in woods and countryside it would do well to also remember this aspect linked to our passion ".
