The Coordination of Piedmontese Hunting Associations expresses moderate satisfaction with the decision to bring forward the opening of the hare hunting common, minilepre, wild rabbit and pheasant, hired yesterday by the Piedmontese Regional Council, on the proposal of the Councilor for Agriculture, Hunting and Pesca, Giorgio Ferrero.
The Coordination of the AA.VV. he observes however how for the umpteenth time migration has been forgotten, a form of hunting widely spread and practiced throughout Italy.
Nonetheless, and while appreciating what was resolved by the Piedmont Region, the writing recognized Hunting Associations are keen to specify how this troubled result has only now been reached because the 2015/16 hunting calendar was not shared at the time as it usually did, and after a expensive recourse to the Regional Administrative Court which has become inevitable in the face of the regional refusal to modify it; all this despite repeated and insistent requests (advance to the third Sunday of September, postponements, pre-openings, inclusion of huntable species, game boxes) made in this sense by the Coordination since April.
Now the season will begin, and the hope of hunters and hunting associations is that all this can serve as a warning for the future, as if it were a negative example of how ... not to concert more, imposing your decisions from above as you did this. year, but instead leaving room for a dialogue and mutual respect that the hunting world wants, and strongly claims.
