The examination of the Bill of the Puglia region on the protection of wildlife andexercise of the hunting activity it is continuing at a rapid pace. The joint session of Committees II and IV of Regional Council led to the approval of six other articles of the provision wanted by the councilor Leo DiGioia. The discussion regarding the Territorial Areas of Hunting has been postponed, while there are updates regarding the private centers for the reproduction of wild fauna in the wild.
In practice, they are intended for the production of fauna belonging to huntable species for the purpose of restocking and dog activities. Furthermore, these centers must be located in environments suitable for the species to be reared, without forgetting the size, which must meet the biological needs of the wild. Among other things, the placing of animals must be preceded by the control of the ASL and by the application of identification marks.
The Ddl also provides that the Puglia Region authorizes the establishment of faunal-hunting farms and agritourism-hunting farms to the extent of 10% of the agro-forestry-pastoral territory. Also state-owned land can be exploited as public centers for the production of fauna, without forgetting the protection oases and the Restocking and Capture Areas (also known by the acronym ZRC).
