The specialties involved
The 2026 competitive season is now in full swing, and shooting venues across the peninsula continue to be bustling with competitors and enthusiasts involved in regional circuits. A total of 426 shooters took part in the FITAV Regional Summer Championships on Saturday, July 4th and Sunday, July 5th , held at twelve shooting venues across nine Italian regions. Four amateur disciplines were involved: Compak Sporting, Universal Trench, Propeller, and Trap1.
Territories and presences
Veneto had the highest participation rate, with 152 athletes competing across three separate events. The highest number of athletes was recorded at TAV Nibbio (VI), where 72 specialists participated in the Universal Trench competition. At TAV Blak (VE), 60 athletes participated in the Compak Sporting competition, while TAV G. Rosatti-Ponso (PD) hosted 20 shooters for the Propeller competition. Lazio took second place among the regions, with 60 athletes competing in the Compak Sporting competition hosted by TAV Canino (VT). Campania took third place on the podium with 46 competitors in the Universal Trench competition at TAV Fontanarosa Skeet 2 (AV).
The rest of the ranking
Emilia-Romagna followed, welcoming 43 Elica specialists to the TAV Molinella (BO), Puglia, where 39 participants participated in the Compak Sporting competition held at the TAV San Donaci (BR), and Umbria, where the total number of participants reached 34 thanks to the 27 Universal Trench participants at the TAV I Moschettieri del Nera (TR) and the seven Trap1 participants at the TAV Cavallerizza (TR). Completing the list were Tuscany, with 23 shooters competing in the Universal Trench at the TAV Pisa, Liguria, with 22 entries in the Trap1 competition at the TAV Genova, and Piedmont, with seven participants in the Elica competition hosted by the TAV Carisio (VC) (source: FITAV).
