A special wood
To celebrate its 250 years of gunmaking tradition, the London-based company John Rigby & Co. Rigby has officially unveiled a prestigious gun rack, renamed the Rigby 250th Anniversary, a limited-edition piece that combines practical functionality with timeless craftsmanship. Handcrafted in South Africa from solid wood (African kiaat), this rack is designed to reflect Rigby's unwavering commitment to quality. Native to countries such as Zimbabwe, Botswana, and Tanzania, kiaat is renowned for its exceptional strength, stability, and rich natural grain, making it the ideal choice for a gun rack designed to last for generations.
Storage and transport
Designed to securely hold five guns, each gun case is finished in 3,5mm thick vegetable-tanned cowhide. Treated with natural vegetable oil to enhance its longevity and character, the leather protects and enhances the case's overall finish. The foldable design, secured with leather clasps, allows for convenient storage and effortless transport, while the adjustable leather carrying handle ensures easy handling both indoors and outdoors.
Other details
A distinctive feature of this anniversary edition is the solid wood plaque atop the rack, inlaid with leather and featuring a brass plaque engraved with Rigby's 250th Anniversary seal, a subtle yet impactful tribute to the company's long tradition of crafting high-quality firearms. Complete with an integrated shelf underneath for storing cartridges and shooting accessories, the Rigby 250th Anniversary Gun Rack offers a refined solution for both display and functionality, making it the ideal companion for a wide range of occasions.
