Common sense must prevail
Let's go back to the security decree Because many of our members, as well as many who live in rural areas, are deeply concerned about the potential enforcement of the new law by the police, even though we persist in believing that common sense prevails. A restriction so stringent is introduced that it would transform a simple folding knife with a locking blade, if it's longer than 5 centimeters—and they all are—into a criminal offense.
Nature lovers
But all those who live in rural areas and who simply love nature and its fruits have always carried a small knife, almost always a folding one, precisely so that the blade is safe and cannot be damaged in the event of a fall or bending. From harvesting asparagus, or cutting wild spinach rather than uprooting it, to picking various types of mushrooms, from summer to late autumn, as part of the actual practice of hunting.
Risk of criminal proceedings
Or simply to slice some salami or cut some cheese, carried along for refreshments on hikes and picnics year-round. Today, you risk criminal prosecution if such an object is left in your pocket, car, or elsewhere, and is therefore considered a weapon. We repeat, with a blade longer than 5 centimeters, and with no age restriction. We truly hope that the decree can be more thoughtfully implemented than it was when drafting it, because any report for illegal possession of a "weapon" would also result in the disqualification from carrying a real firearm (source: Federcaccia Brescia – Cacciapensieri).
