In the province of Salerno, a poacher was injured by the shot fired by one of the accomplices while poaching in a protected area and on a closing day.
It happened in recent days in Trentinara, in the province of Salerno, where a man was injured during a hunting trip; it was discovered later that the man was not a hunter but a poacher who with four other accomplices were poaching within an area on the border with Cicerale, where hunting is always prohibited and outside hunting days.
One of the poachers shot something moving in the bushes with his own rifle believing it was a wild boar but instead hit his friend, a 26-year-old young man, who sustained injuries to his left arm and legs.
The injured young man was thus transported downstream by his friends up to the junction of the Mattine, near the junction for Giungano, where the rescuers were waiting for him who transported him to the nearby hospital of Agropoli (SA) where the doctors he was diagnosed with a prognosis of thirty days.
The Carabinieri of the Agropoli Company investigate the matter and in a short time they reconstructed the facts, managing to identify the other four poachers who were with the injured person at the time of the incident.
These are young people from the area residing in the municipalities of Trentinara, Albanella and Monteforte Cilento who have been denounced on the loose by the Carabinieri to answer for the accusation of poaching before the Vallo della Lucania Prosecutor's Office; the military also proceeded to confiscate the five rifles found in the possession of the poachers.
