From Saturday 10 November hunting will reopen in Natura 2000 Network areas, special protection areas (ZPS) and sites of community importance (DIH). This was established by a resolution approved today which integrates regional law 44 of 2018. A necessary choice in order not to compromise the hunting season, but also to avoid risks of different nature, such as safety, public order and above all the damage to agriculture connected to ungulates.
With a second resolution aimed at strengthening the protection of crops, the regional council has integrated the wild boar control plan, perfecting a series of actions on an experimental basis and giving the possibility to farmers in possession of a license to directly slaughter the animals, following the required obligations. Those who are not licensed can do so via authorized selectors. Furthermore, farmers, both in possession of a hunting license and not, will be able to undertake the path aimed at the installation of systems for capturing ungulates on their land, subject to the authorization of the competent bodies.
Another important innovation concerns the approval by the council of a "standard statute" for the Atc which, after consulting the council commission, will make it possible to standardize the system connected to the hunting world. A change desired by all associations. Finally, the procedures for the appointment of the commission were defined who will have to monitor compliance with the hunting control plan aimed, in particular, at verifying the achievement of the objectives by the boar hunting team, as required by the current regional regulation.
