Tenuta Bonicelli: a paradise for hunters
The adventure begins. Valerio and I are in the company of Lorenzo, owner of Tenuta Bonicelli who has been managing the reserve with dedication and great professionalism for over a decade, providing high level hunting services. Here our attention immediately focuses on the preparation of the equipment. The carbine sour 100, received on trial by Blaser Italia, turns out to be theideal weapon for this deer hunt. The caliber we are going to use is the all-rounder .308 Winchester, of American origin, is now widely used for hunting medium and large animals. Furthermore, the .308 W guarantees power and precision even at long distances.

In the heart of the game reserve: the search begins at nightfall
After an end carbine calibration and a test of the equipment, here we are at nightfall and in a few minutes we begin to enter the woods of Bonicelli estate. The golden light of the sunset kisses the tops of the trees, creating a magical atmosphere, Valerio and I are already happy like this, getting away from the city and being able to immerse ourselves in nature is something that gratifies mood and mind. 
The night: Liemke KEILER 25.1, your ideal companion in the dark
As night falls, the thermal technology of Leemke becomes our most precious ally. The monocle boar 25.1, highly technological and intuitive, reveals the secrets of the night, transforming the darkness into a vivid painting, showing squirrels jumping from tree to tree and following our intrusion into the woods, hares grazing in the meadows and obviously numerous ungulates. What captures our attention are some beautiful male deer that appear and disappear in the dark of the night, revealing themselves a few meters from us, always clearly visible from our Liemke thermal imager. But Valerio and I are hunting fallow deer and despite the sighting of a magnificent male deer, motionless a few meters from our stakeout, our much desired fallow deer continues to elude us. 
From the roof terrace to the hunt to the search...
Unfortunately the night did not give the desired outcome and while waiting for the new day, we decided to return to the hunting lodge and sleep for a few hours. As the sun rises, Valerio and I decide to try our luck from the roof terrace. The strategic position offers a privileged view of the reserve, the wind is favorable to us, some deer are pressing in front of our roof, but the chosen leader does not pass and once again seems to elude the adopted strategy. Strongly determined, Valerio and I get off the roof and resume the hunt on foot.
The sighting: The Minox X-RANGE binotelemeter reveals the hidden fallow deer
Finally, in the middle of a hazelnut grove and hidden among the branches of the trees, the Minox X-Range 10X42 binoculars with integrated rangefinder detects a hidden treasure, our much pursued deer, reached and telemetered at 159 metres, motionless in front of us.
Valerio, Lorenzo and I decide to move sideways on the rows of hazelnuts so as not to be easily seen by the animal, so we begin the approach with caution. Valerio, with the sour 100 ready, she climbs together with Filippo onto a roof terrace convenient for the purpose and the two prepare to shoot, while Lorenzo, armed with binoculars, carefully observes the action. 
The perfect shot: Sauer 100 finds the target!!
The heart beats fast when Valerio shoots. The shot of the sour 100 it is perfect and, this time the deer gives in to the mastery of the hunter. The victory is celebrated with emotion. “Waildmainsheild” resounds in the woods of the Langhe in the congratulations of Filippo and Lorenzo. Valerio collected his first fallow deer.
