Technical opinion
Yesterday morning, the Regional Wildlife and Hunting Committee (CRFV) of the Sicilia unanimously approved the hunting calendar for the 2025-2026 season, departing on several points from the technical opinion formulated by ISPRA (Higher Institute for Environmental Protection and Research).

For Arci Caccia, these divergences are even more surprising if one considers that other experts from the same Institute, charged by the competent Regional Department with drafting the new five-year Wildlife and Hunting Plan for the Sicilian Region, had previously expressed favourable assessments of provisions similar to those now the subject of critical consideration in the opinion on the hunting calendar.
The publication of the calendar
At the end of the session, all the hunting associations present unanimously invited the Councilor to proceed with the publication of the calendar by the end of May, so as to guarantee adequate technical time to deal with a possible challenge by environmental organizations, whose opposition is now considered almost inevitable.
