Last year's demonstrations
It has been approved by the Sicilian region the plan for the containment of wildlife as proposed after the demonstrations in front of Palazzo d'Orlando. The plan for the management of wildlife approved today by the Regional Council represents a victory for Coldiretti Sicilia because it was proposed, followed and constantly analyzed after the demonstrations in front of the Presidency of the Region last year.
Indiscriminate proliferation
The plan – claims the agricultural organization – can represent a turning point especially in those areas of the island literally devastated by the indiscriminate proliferation of pigs, wood pigeons, and other species that have also led to the limitation of activities due to attacks.
Fundamental innovation
We give credit to those who worked on this plan such as Fulvio Bellomo of the Department for Rural and Territorial Development because it represents a very important innovation in full respect of Sicilian biodiversity and certainly to the Schifani Government that has kept its promise after our demonstration.
