The results achieved
At 18pm, in the Sala dei Grandi of the Palazzo della Provincia di Arezzo, the standard-bearer of the Italian Air Force, Martina Bartolomei, originally from Laterina Pergine Valdarno (AR), received the Silver Star for Sporting Merit, an honour awarded to athletes and managers who, during their career, have distinguished themselves for the results obtained and for their diffusion of Italian sport in all its forms, both in our country and internationally.
The milestones that made the difference
The medal was awarded to her in recognition of her outstanding achievements, including the individual gold medal at the Mediterranean Games in Oran, Algeria, in 2022, and the individual gold at the European Games in Krakow, Poland, in 2023.
Bartolomei's words
"It's always an honor and a pleasure for me to participate in ceremonies like this," said the Italian athlete. "I consider it recognition of my role as an athlete and my role within the Sports Group. Receiving the CONI Silver Star for Sporting Merit is a great satisfaction for me, because it shows that the work and sacrifices I'm making are bringing prestige not only to my competitive career but also to the Italian Air Force, the Olympic Committee, and the Federation, to whom I sincerely thank. By continuing on this path and with results of this caliber, I don't rule out the possibility of earning the Gold Star in the not-too-distant future."
