Activities to be repressed
The services of the Volunteer Game Wardens of the Macerata Provincial Section continue throughout the region, coordinated, as expressly required by Regional Law No. 7/95, by the Provincial Police, who are always present to prevent and suppress all forms of poaching. During these operations, particularly at night, four electromagnetic quail decoys , positioned to attract quail, were located and seized.
Condemnation without mincing words
These forms of poaching must be condemned unequivocally to protect quail during this nesting period and the young quails born in Africa and now returning to our lands. A wildlife trap placed near a corn crop was also seized.
Control plans
In this regard, it is worth remembering that the control plans established for the protection of agricultural crops may include the use of special traps, provided they are properly authorized.
