Season closing
The Regional Administrative Court for the Marche (Second Section) has issued the ruling on the appeal of the environmental associations, communicating that it annuls the resolution approving the hunting calendar 2024/2025 limited to the closure of the hunting season, brought forward to 30.12.2024/9.01.2025/XNUMX for the woodcock species and to XNUMX/XNUMX/XNUMX for the song thrush, redwing and fieldfare.
The next steps
Federcaccia has already instructed its lawyers to appear before the Council of State on the ruling. Last May, however, another hunting association had something to say about the regional text. This is Arci Caccia, which had raised more than one doubt about what the calendar would be.
Doubts and perplexities
Here is what he wrote four months ago: "With respect to the final approved document, although we hope to go hunting in the ways and times decided without, therefore, any limitations, we are still convinced that, in the event of appeals to the TAR, we could suffer limitations as the Calendar forces the Regulations and Community Directives on multiple fronts. Another thing that we do not agree with is the pre-opening for wood pigeons with a closing date of January 16 and, absurdly, despite this decision, the general opening for crows (not in pre-opening)".
